Beautiful Week + Beautiful Places

The week of February 10 was a very fine week in Bradford Land. Not only did it include Valentine’s Day–in which it’s customary for me to get treats (cupcakes, lately) for my Valentines. But it was also our 32nd anniversary. Too bad we didn’t get to do anything for it this year since Dan was working very long hours.

And then, to top it all off, Jordan wanted to go somewhere so we ran down to Arches and did a bit of hiking. Gosh, that place is beautiful!

So I was rather excited to get this down quickly in photos and words. I used Template ‘E” from the Lay It All Out: Travelers Notebook kit and topped each day with the days of the week from Block of Time. It would also look great with numbers from Brooklyn SM. I did happen to use those same stamps to create the title Beautiful Places.

Speaking of Block of Time, Sunday is the last day to get in on the preorder for it and Printers Block | Letters.

I also used the brand new Utah’s Might Five stamp set and a phrase from Me&You. I had a little extra space after the stamped phrase on Thursday, so I added a tiny ‘xoxo’ strip of washi tape.

I’m really digging the ‘already thought out for you’ templates from Lay It All Out! Just decide which photos you want, draw your lines,  and lay it all  out. I would like to get a thin light grey pen to draw my journaling lines. Right now I use a pencil to draw them, write my text, then write over it in pen and erase it all. I have to know it fits, you see. ;)

But I like the idea of having permanent faint grey lines like you’d see in a journal. So if any of you have recommendations on the perfect pale grey pen, please share.  :)

I also happened to cut two Template E’s. The second one has a couple extra lines. I like having a couple choices for line spacing. Sometimes you have more things to say than others. If you don’t remember how to do add some lines, here’s how.

1.  Open your file
2.  Select and Ungroup as needed
3.  Select a line, press Ctrl/Cmd-C for Copy, Ctrl/Cmd-F to paste however many additional lines you’d like.
4.  Select the group of lines and go to Align/Space Vertically.
5.  Group them back together.

Easy peasy.
